HIS MEMORY LIVES IN OUR HEARTS

Bahodir Iso, Honored Youth Mentor of the Republic of Uzbekistan, poet, member of the union and recipient of the "Shuhrat" medal, has passed away at the age of 69.
Bahodir Isomov was born in 1956 in the village of Dutir in Rishton district. From 1977 he worked as a teacher in secondary schools of Rishton district, an artist at the House of Culture, head of the district Center for Promotion of Spirituality, a literary staff member of the regional administration's newspaper "Farg‘ona haqiqati", an educator-teacher at the creative school named after Erkin Vohidov, and a lecturer at the art studies department of Fergana State University.
Bahodir Iso is one of the poets who caught the attention of the leading figures of the country's literature. He was brought into literature with their "blessing" by Hero of Uzbekistan and People's Poet of Uzbekistan Erkin Vohidov, Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan Yo‘ldosh Sulaymon, State Prize laureate of Uzbekistan Laziz Qayumov, and the well-known literary scholar Ibrohim G‘ofurov.
As a poet and journalist he became known to the people through district, regional and republican newspapers and magazines. His poetry collections "Odamlar ichidan odam izladim" ("I Sought a Person Among People", 2005), "Yaxshilar bor yaxshiyam" ("Good That Kind People Exist", 2008), "Otam kutgan kunlar" ("The Days My Father Awaited", 2013), "Muhammad Yusuf" (2014), "Kuy tili" ("The Language of Melody", 2015) and "Qishloqdagi shoir" ("The Poet in the Village", 2016) were read passed from hand to hand and took their place among the gems of modern Uzbek literature.
The poet also made a worthy contribution to the development of Uzbek art. Many of his poems and ghazals were turned into songs by well-known singers of our country. Many of his students became winners of prestigious competitions.
The bright memory of the fiery poet Bahodir Iso will live forever in the hearts of the Uzbek people.
